Now that New Zealand has transitioned into the COVID-19 Protection Framework (or the traffic light system, as everyone knows it), we can finally attend weddings and engagements of our friends and whānau.
If you are planning a wedding, civil union, engagement or elopement, here is a quick guide to doing so safely under the different settings of the traffic light system.
The Red setting
If your event is taking place in an area under the Red setting, you have two options:
With Vaccine Pass: Enable Vaccine Pass and have up to 100 people (excluding staff), each of whom need to be vaccinated
Without Vaccine Pass: You can have a maximum of 25 people (excluding staff) with 1-metre distancing

The Orange setting
Under Orange, the restrictions are fewer than under Red. Here’s what you need to keep in mind:
With Vaccine Pass: Enable Vaccine Pass and have as many people as you want, as long as everyone is vaccinated
Without Vaccine Pass: You can have up to 50 people (excluding staff) with 1-metre distancing

The Green setting
The setting with the least number of restrictions, Green lets you:
With Vaccine Pass: No limits of the number of people as long as everyone is vaccinated
Without Vaccine Pass: You can have up to 100 people (excluding staff) with 1-metre distancing

Woollie is fully vaccinated!
As a wedding photographer, I place my clients’ safety and happiness above everything else, and will do everything in my capacity to keep everyone safe. This is why I am fully vaccinated and will be abiding by all the government guidelines while helping you make your most important day even better. I, and anyone who works with me, will be happy to show you the Vaccine Pass, if your event requires it.
